Start with the downloaded song
If you have a Suno song saved as M4A or WAV and another app asks for MP3, Sound Flipper can convert a supported file for free in your browser. There is no account or converter installation. Use M4A to MP3 or WAV to MP3 according to the file you have. Your audio is processed on your device.
This guide starts with an audio file you have already downloaded. Sound Flipper does not download songs from Suno links, extract audio from videos or change access to Suno’s own download options.
Check whether you already have an MP3
Suno’s download-format guidance lists MP3 downloads and describes when WAV is available. Options can depend on the plan, song and device. If you can download the format your recipient needs directly, you may not need another conversion. If you already have a working MP3, keep it rather than encoding it again just because a converter is available.
Convert the file for free
- Save the audio file on your device and open the matching free converter.
- Choose the file. Wait for Sound Flipper to identify its actual codec and duration.
- Select MP3, review the displayed quality settings and leave edits off to keep the full song.
- Start conversion, download the result and check it in the app where you intend to use it.
For several downloaded songs, the free batch audio converter processes up to ten selected files with separate results.
Why some M4A downloads need extra care
M4A describes a container, not a single audio codec. Sound Flipper supports qualified AAC, ALAC and Opus inside M4A. A previously reported Suno download included Opus audio and extra metadata; that case informed the compatibility fix. It does not mean every Suno download has the same internal layout.
Recognized provenance metadata and a supported timed subtitle track may be omitted with a warning. Video-bearing, protected, fragmented or unsupported multitrack files are still refused. Read the message rather than simply renaming the file to .mp3.
Keep the best original and check the result
MP3 is a lossy compatibility copy. Converting an already compressed M4A to MP3 can discard more detail, and making a WAV from it cannot restore lost information. Keep the original download for future editing. Listen to the opening, ending and a busy passage; check the duration and any cover-art or tag warnings. If an upload still fails, follow the audio upload checklist.
