Operator and scope

This notice describes the Sound Flipper website, updated 29 October 2026. Singularity Shift Ltd is one of the site operators, registered in England and Wales under company number 16311259. Your audio files are processed on your device

Selected audio is read and converted locally by your browser. The conversion flow does not upload your audio, filenames or tags to us or to a conversion server. You choose whether to download a result or share it through another application. Any later sharing is governed by the destination you choose.

There is no account or audio-upload form. Do not email private recordings for troubleshooting; browser, format and error details are normally sufficient to begin an investigation.

Temporary audio and saved settings

The app may write intermediate and completed audio into browser-private storage. Clear removes job-owned results through the cleanup flow. Each tab uses a separate session, and browser locks protect active sessions during abandoned-session cleanup where that feature is available. A crash, closed tab, blocked storage operation or failed cleanup can leave temporary data until a later cleanup or browser site-data removal. We cannot remotely erase audio stored on your device.

Presets are stored locally in this browser, up to thirty entries, until you remove them or clear site data. They store settings and user-chosen preset/profile names, not recordings. Settings links contain validated format/policy choices in the URL fragment; they exclude source filenames, tags, audio and per-file edits.

The site remembers language choices in soundflipper.locale and a dismissed language suggestion in soundflipper.localeBanner in browser local storage. These preferences keep navigation in your chosen language and avoid repeating the suggestion; they contain no audio, filenames or tags and remain until you clear site data. Language suggestions never redirect you automatically.

Hosting requests and optional Google services

Your browser requests pages, scripts, styles and the audio engine from the site host. The host can receive ordinary request information, such as your IP address, browser information and requested path, to deliver and protect the service. Audio processing on your device does not mean that the website makes no hosting requests.

With your analytics consent, Google Analytics receives basic visit and device information, the page title and the page address without its query or fragment; Google may receive your IP address as part of the request. It may use cookies to measure visits and basic converter actions such as selection, conversion outcomes and download clicks. Analytics is off by default, and you can withdraw consent using Cookie settings. The site does not include audio, filenames, tags, settings fragments or support messages in its configured analytics events. See Google’s privacy policy and our cookie information.

Advertising is separate and also defaults to off. Google advertising requires site approval and an appropriate certified consent setup before it is activated. Privacy and cookie notices do not load advertising.

Contact information and choices

If you email us, we receive your email address and what you choose to include. We use that information to respond and manage relevant follow-up, based on our legitimate interest in providing support. Correspondence is kept only as needed for that purpose or an applicable record-keeping obligation; contact us to ask about or request deletion of a particular conversation. We do not use a support message as permission to send marketing.

You can change saved optional-service choices using Cookie settings in the footer. A saved privacy choice expires after up to 180 days. If browser storage cannot be read or written reliably, optional services remain off. Clearing site data removes local choices and presets; it does not remove files you explicitly downloaded elsewhere.

Questions, rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, data-protection rights can include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability. Contact the operator above to make a request or raise a concern about personal information we hold. We cannot retrieve recordings that were processed only on your device.
